Whether through injury, surgery, or a skin condition such as acne, most people acquire scars at some point in life. If the idea of forever erasing your scars appeals to you, you may be interested in our scar revision treatment with the Sciton ProFractional laser.

While it can’t completely erase all scars, scar reduction removes or minimizes scar tissue, resulting in dramatic scar reduction. At Pure Medspa, our experienced team uses laser treatment to help our Medford, OR, clients achieve smoother, more even skin.

How Long Does Scar Reduction Take?

The length of the procedure will depend on the size and location of the scar. However, most treatments take 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

How Long Does It Take To Recover From Laser Scar Reduction?

The recovery time for scar revision with the Sciton ProFractional laser is relatively short. You will experience some redness, swelling, and peeling for several days after the treatment. However, most patients are able to return to their normal activities within a few days to a week.

Is Laser Scar Revision Safe?

Treatment with the ProFractional laser is safe for most skin types. However, like any laser procedure, some risks and potential complications are associated with the procedure. We will discuss these with you during your consultation and take steps to minimize them.

Is ProFractional Treatment Painful?

We typically use a local anesthetic to numb the treatment area. This helps keep you comfortable during the procedure. Still, some patients may experience mild discomfort depending on the depth of the treatment. Most patients report feeling little to no pain during the procedure.

What Results Can I Expect?

The ProFractional laser can reduce the appearance of scars on the face, neck, chest, and other areas of the body. Depending on the size and location of the scarring, you may need multiple treatments to achieve your desired results. However, most patients see a noticeable improvement in the appearance of their scars after just one treatment.
