Anya Bandt, MD, FAAD, FACMS

Board-Certified Dermatologist & Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Bandt is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon with more than twenty-five years in practice. She joined The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness in 2026 and cares for patients across Medford, Grants Pass, Ashland, and Northern California.

She completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, then earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her training continued with an internship in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, a dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology in Madison, Wisconsin.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology in both dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, and she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) and of the American College of Mohs Surgery (FACMS). That last credential is granted only to surgeons who have completed an approved advanced fellowship. Most of her work focuses on Mohs surgery for skin cancer, along with general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

For more than twenty years, she owned and ran a private dermatology practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, and she has also served as a medical director and Mohs surgeon in California and Nevada. Teaching and community service have been constants in her career. She has worked as an attending physician at San Francisco General Hospital, taught in Yale University’s Physician Associate Program, cared for patients at a local women’s shelter, and joined a medical mission to Cambodia.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Bandt is an avid traveler who also enjoys stand-up paddleboarding, Zumba, and singing. Whenever she can, she spends time with her adult children.
