At The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness, Mr. Atzenbeck oversees a dedicated team delivering a spectrum of services, ranging from medical and surgical dermatology, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery. Simultaneously, at Pure MedSpa, he is instrumental in curating high-end, bespoke, luxury aesthetic services delivered by a team of expert providers, estheticians, and massage therapists. His management acumen ensures a seamless integration of services, emphasizing patient-centered care and clinical efficacy.

Joseph graduated with honors from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, earning a Bachelor of Science in Control Systems Engineering. He furthered his education with a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management and policy.

Joseph’s career began with remarkable service in the U.S. Navy, where he deployed on seven submarine missions critical to national security. His exemplary performance led to his role as Deputy Director of the National Security Agency’s (NSA) Hawaii field site Security Operations Center. He managed a 24/7 intelligence watch floor, coordinating highly classified, multifaceted operations across multiple agencies and nations. His meticulous attention to detail and strategic planning ensured seamless operations and established his reputation for operational excellence.

After retiring from active duty in 2015 due to medical reasons, Joseph transitioned his leadership skills to the healthcare sector. He currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for PrimeCare, the Independent Practice Association in Jackson County, Oregon, where he influences policy and payer negotiations, and fosters collegial relations across various medical specialties.

Moreover, Joseph is a sought-after expert consultant, Customer Advisory Board member, and speaker for many pharmaceutical, aesthetic device, and medical software vendor partners, where he shares his insights on modernizing practice operations and enhancing patient care. As a result, he is one of the co-founding members of the Executive Roundtable Group, where he mentors and strengthens relationships among dermatology and medspa practice executives nationwide in an effort to foster improvements to dermatologic and aesthetic care across the country.
