What Is RF Microneedling?
Traditional microneedling—sometimes called collagen induction therapy—involves penetrating the skin with tiny needles at various depths to stimulate the body’s wound-healing response. That response produces new collagen and elastin, essential for smoother, firmer skin. During an RF microneedling treatment, the needles emit radiofrequency energy and gently heat the tissue below the skin’s surface. This creates more dramatic results.
Additionally, the micro-injuries created by RF microneedling enable the skin to absorb nourishing serums and other products more efficiently and into the deeper layers of the skin, resulting in enhanced results.
What Is AGNES RF Microneedling?
AGNES RF microneedling sets itself apart from other RF microneedling treatments with its unique customization. The device includes nine different types of micro-insulated needles that successfully target multiple treatment areas with precision and versatility. What Should I Expect During Treatment?

What Is Scarlet SRF Microneedling?
Scarlet SRF (short-pulse radiofrequency) microneedling generates thermal energy, lifting and tightening the skin on the face, neck, chest, and body. Unlike the Agnes RF device, which uses either one or three needles, the Scarlet SRF treatment penetrates the skin with 25 microneedles. As the needles deliver RF energy, they generate an electrothermal reaction that coagulates tissue and promotes collagen and elastin production.

What Should I Expect During Treatment?

RF Microneedling FAQs
Who is a good candidate for RF microneedling?
Both the AGNES and Scarlet microneedling treatments are safe for all skin types.
How many RF microneedling treatments are needed?
This will be determined during your consultation based on treatment goals and skin type. We recommend that most patients receive three to six treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart, depending on age and patient goals. For those with deeper wrinkles, advanced hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, or acne scars, we recommend three to six or more sessions at four to eight-week intervals.
Is there any downtime needed after an RF microneedling treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, you will notice a healthy pink glow, and your skin may feel warm. Total healing time depends on the needle depth required for optimal skin repair. On average, patients’ skin can appear pink for one to two days after treatment. Most patients heal completely in 24 hours, and many report that their skin feels slightly “windburned” for the first day.
How long does a treatment take?
Depending on the specific treatment performed and the areas treated, the procedure can take fifteen minutes to one hour. Treatment time also depends on the degree of skin damage. We will help you determine your optimal treatment regimen during your consultation.
Does an RF microneedling treatment hurt?
To ensure patients remain comfortable during the treatment, we apply a thin layer of peptide gel, a topical serum, to your skin. We also use Biopelle® Tensage® Intensive Serum 40 during and after treatment and Tensage Daily Serum between treatments to further enhance the health and appearance of your skin. These products are packed with anti-aging ingredients and technologies to repair and defend against environmental damage and address intrinsic skin-aging factors.
