Meet Our Staff

Joseph Atzenbeck, LT, USN (Ret.), Chief Executive Officer

Joseph is a founding member of The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness and serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Clinic Administrator for a four provider, 16 employee, team encompassing medical, surgical and aesthetic dermatology, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery.

Joseph is an Honors Graduate from the prestigious United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Control Systems Engineering. He is currently working towards his Master of Health Administration at Cornell University and expects to graduate in December 2021.

Joseph deployed on seven submarine missions vital to national security. With extensive experience and success at sea, he was selected for the position of Deputy Director of the National Security Agency (NSA) Hawaii field site Security Operations Center's 24/7 intelligence watch floor.

Joseph is renowned for his extreme attention to detail and step-by-step planning processes to ensure seamless operations and minimal friction points. In his role at the NSA, which conducts operations on behalf of military and other intelligence agency customers, Joseph also gained valuable insight into multi-agency, multi-faceted, multi-national, multiple product line, military, civilian, and contractor operations conducted in a highly classified environment. 

Joseph was medically retired from active duty in November of 2014 and although a disabled veteran, he remains a capable and determined leader. While no longer eligible for military service, he desires to be a productive member of society and a top-notch employer. 

Joseph's experience with customer service and leadership expectation management, employee concerns (military, civilian and contractor), staffing and scheduling of personnel, and dual-geographically separate campus operations on a 24/7 basis, make him an invaluable member of our team.

Roya Zickmund, Office Manager, CoolSculpting Specialist, Senior Medical Assistant, Aesthetics Specialist and Patient Care Coordinator

Roya is a graduate of both the University of California Davis and Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She has over 15 years of extensive experience in the plastic surgery field in New York, where she discovered her passion for minimally invasive rejuvenation modalities. 

Ultimately, Roya placed family over career and moved to Southern Oregon to be closer to her family and friends. Roya works under the licenses of Dr. Kevin Wright and Joseph Gatti, PA-C.

Over the last ten years, Roya has focused her attention in minimally invasive aesthetics including proper skin care, neurotoxins such as Botox, dermal fillers such as Juvederm, and CoolSculpting. She believes looking refreshed and confident can be accomplished subtly, affordably and with little or no down time. 

Roya is a wealth of technical knowledge and skills and we are very lucky to have her!

Reena Ficek, Certified Dermatology Technician, Certified Surgical Assistant

Reena comes to our practice with over 25 years of surgical experience here in the Rogue Valley. Originally, Reena studied at University of Hawaii and Oregon Institute of Technology before choosing to pursue her passion for surgery as an operating room assistant/technician. 

Reena is classically trained in hospital and outpatient surgery, having worked with many of the surgeons in the area over her career. Her surgical experience includes Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, facial reconstruction, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery.

Reena transitioned to dermatology and dermatologic surgery in 2014, electing for a change of pace and greater flexibility for her family. Reena’s patients know her for her honesty, integrity and her candid feedback, always with the priority on the patients’ health. 

Rebecca (Becky) Marler, Certified Dermatology Technician, Certified Medical Assistant

Becky is a long-time resident of Southern Oregon. Having initially began her career in Healthcare at the young age of 16, Becky is a cancer survivor who sacrificed her spot in nursing school in order to help her family and undergo chemotherapy. Following remission and successful treatment of her cancer, Becky transitioned to a new career as a Dermatology Medical Assistant. 

For over eight years, Becky has brightened her patients’ lives with her cheerful disposition, positive outlook on life, and her powerful story of overcoming all odds. Becky is a firm believer in the importance of skin cancer screenings and educating patients on the proper use of sunscreen and regular total body skin checks. 

Alyssa Chapman, Certified Dermatology Technician, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Alyssa is a native of the Rogue Valley, graduating from North Medford High School in 2006. She has been working in the medical field in the valley for the last 10 years and loves what she does.

Alyssa spent nine years as a private caregiver where she learned the empathetic nature of her heart leading her to become a certified nurse assistant in 2008.  

Alyssa is a seasoned medical assistant. She serves as our laser technician as well as one of our experienced HydraFacial technicians.

In her free time she enjoys all that the Rogue Valley has to offer with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

Christy Cameron, CoolSculpting Specialist, Certified Dermatology Technician

Christy is a native Oregonian and has a wide range of skillsets and experiences ranging from teaching English at a college in Brazil, bartending, hotel management, welding, home remodeling, and small-scale farming and ranching.

Christy is our lead CoolSculpting Specialist, an experienced HydraFacial, microneedling, and peel technician. She is also a skilled Patient Care Coordinator serving as a Brilliant Distinctions Expert, Obagi Ambassador, Care Credit Liaison, and is always happy to assist our patients in any way possible. Christy is passionate about her work and her co-workers; she is always smiling and bringing happiness to those around her.

Christy has left the country several times, travelling all through Central and South America and brings her passion for helping people and a love of learning to our clinic. Christy has two healthy and happy boys that she loves to spend time with outside of work.

Suzanne Arntz, Certified Dermatology Technician and Certified Medical Assistant

Suzanne comes to The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness with over 17 years as a medical assistant and is a Certified Dermatology Technician and Certified Medical Assistant. She has worked in various positions in the medical field, but discovered her passion for dermatology in 2012. Suzanne is a staunch advocate for the importance of skin cancer screenings, ensuring proper patient education at each patient visit. She enjoys assisting in dermatology procedures and is a familiar face to many of our Photodynamic Therapy patients. 

While an Oregon native, Suzanne is not originally from the area and moved to the Rogue Valley in 2002. When not caring for patients, Suzanne enjoys the Rogue Valley lifestyle, exploring the area with her children whenever possible. 

Christa Levario, Back Office Lead, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Christa is a native to the Rogue Valley and has worked in the medical field for over 18 years. She started her journey in the healthcare field as a caregiver and found a passion for providing her patients with exceptional care. Christa became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2005 and provided care for nine years at Asante. 

For the past four years she has been working as a medical assistant and feels that she has finally found her niche. Christa is excited to bring her passion for helping others and learning to the clinic as a newly Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. 

Christa serves as the leader of our back office team and is currently taking classes to pursue a degree in Healthcare Administration and psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the Rogue Valley with her husband and two daughters. 

Nick Perez, Certified Dermatology Technician, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Nick moved to the Rogue Valley from Los Altos Hills, California in his early teens and never looked back. He began his medical career seven years ago and has worked in a variety of medical settings including as a nursing assistant at Asante Rogue Regional Medical center, culminating in completing his certified medical assistant training. 

Prior to joining The Clinic, Nick was the clinical coordinator for a busy Radiology practice, helping to coordinate vital treatments and evaluations for liver cancer patients. Nick has a long standing and intense interest in the most mysterious, yet most overlooked organ on the body—the skin! 

Nick enjoys learning new things including helping patients with various procedures and is currently working on his Mohs laboratory technician certification, excelling in his direct support of The Clinic’s Mohs Surgeon and surgical staff. 

When not hard at work, Nick enjoys volunteering as a baseball coach, trips to the beach, riding four wheelers, and most especially time with his wife and two children.

Chelsea Gaither, Certified Dermatology Technician, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Chelsea is a native Rogue Valley resident. She has been in the medical field for over six years with experience ranging from caregiving, working as a nursing assistant at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, and certification as a clinical medical assistant (MA) through Pacific Healthcare training.

Chelsea worked in orthopedics for three years as an MA, and then for multiple surgeons in various specialties. She has a deep interest in the skin and beauty industry, likely spawned from watching dermatology procedures performed by Dr. Sandra Lee (aka: Dr. Pimple Popper). She enjoys learning new things and enjoys helping patients with various procedures and is eager to learn more about aesthetic services, too.

Chelsea enjoys staying busy, and outside of patient care at The Clinic, she works part time as a Licensed nail technician. She is mom to three beautiful boys and enjoys warm weather and being outdoors with her kids partaking in hiking, camping, floating the river, and traveling whenever she can.

Kayleah Spicer, Front Office Lead and Patient Care Coordinator

Kayleah is the leader of our front office team and was born and raised right here in the beautiful Rogue Valley. Raised by her grandparents, she has many talents including baking, sewing, gardening, and has grown to love good oldies music.

She has worked in the medical field for the past seven years and derives great enjoyment in helping patients. Kayleah knows that an empathetic heart is the best way to help others and enjoys making people smile. 

Kayleah loves being one of the first smiling faces patients see when entering The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness and enjoys her role as the gateway to our clinical care teams.

Nicole Fitzsimmons, Patient Care Coordinator

An Oregon native, Nicole was born in Ashland and is a graduate of South Medford High School. Nicole enjoys life in the Rogue Valley and has a passion for the medical field. Previously trained and experienced as a phlebotomist, Nicole joined The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness in 2018 in order to keep learning and growing in the medical and cosmetics fields. 

Nicole is one of the first people our patients see upon arrival at our clinic and is a skilled Patient Care Coordinator, Brilliant Distinctions Advisor and is always happy to assist our patients in any way possible. 

Together, Nicole and her husband have two French bulldogs, Bo and Daisy, and are looking forward to raising a family in the valley.

Siobhan Hammon, Patient Care Coordinator

Siobhan returns to the Rogue Valley after six years of living in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

She is a graduate of Eagle Point High School and the Oregon Institute of Cosmetology where she received her esthetician license in 2006. She also attended Rogue Community College to further her business skills. Her knowledge and passion for skin care is a great asset to our team. 

Siobhan enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children and a family of pets and her large group of extended family and friends throughout the Rogue Valley. 

Siobhan is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to providing outstanding customer service to all of our patients!

Hannah Beebe, Patient Care Coordinator

Born and raised here in the Rogue Valley, Hannah is very excited to be part of The Clinic of Dermatology & Wellness team. She has over six years of healthcare and retail customer service and sales experience. She is looking forward to gaining knowledge and experience in the Dermatology and Aesthetics fields.

Hannah is one of the first smiling faces patients see upon arrival and she enjoys helping guide patients through the registration, check-in, and check-out processes. As the newest front office team member at The Clinic, her number one goal is maintaining and exceeding our well-known service standards to our patients. 

Hannah’s passion is creating the most welcoming and warm patient experience throughout The Clinic and she looks forward to meeting all of our patients!

Tracy Weber, Insurance Coordinator

Tracy is a native of the Pacific Northwest, who grew up in Eureka, but was always drawn to the natural beauty of the Rogue Valley. She finally moved to Medford 15 years ago with her daughter to enjoy the climate and seasons only offered in her new home town. Tracy worked in dentistry offices for nearly 20 years, but moved to the medical field with her move to Medford. 

Tracy has a true heart for helping people and her co-workers. She is often the voice behind our phones with patients and is our insurance expert and Referral Coordinator. She is also a skilled Patient Care Coordinator, Brilliant Distinctions Advisor and Care Credit Liaison. 

Tracy is a vital member of our clinic care team and is happy to help our patients in any way she can! 

Tori Austin, CPC, Billing Administrator

Tori grew up in rural Northern California, beginning her lifelong love of the outdoors and sporting activities. Upon graduating high school, Tori moved to beautiful Southern Oregon and began her career in automotive accounting. After 11 years of working at a local automotive corporation, she decided to take time off to raise her family.

Upon returning to business, Tori felt a new career change was in order and the medical field was high on the list of potential jobs. In 2013, Tori was given a tremendous opportunity to join a medical practice and immediately began on the job and classroom training, becoming a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with the American Academy of Professional Coders in 2014. 

Tori’s work has been exclusively within supporting Dermatology and Wellness coding and is renowned for her speed, accuracy, and integrity in patient health record accuracy.

Tori is a great, and important, part of the team at The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness!
